Today I learned: About being a cheerful giver!
Continuing in Proverbs, today we looked at the heart of giving! God loves a cheerful giver. We can’t see God to physically give to him our toys, money ect. so many of the ways we give to God come through giving to others. We are so thankful for all God has given us, the greatest gift being His son Jesus Christ.
Whenever you are able, do good to people who need help. If you have what your neighbor asks for, don’t say to him, “Come back later. I will give it to you tomorrow.”
Proverbs 3:27-28
Some people give much but get back even more. But others don’t give what they should, and they end up poor. Proverbs 11:24
Family Activity: Have you used the “Daily Truth” Booklet your family received at Christmas? Take a look at the “Sharing” chapter as a follow up to today’s lesson. Maybe sit down and look up one of the scriptures from it in your Bible with your child to get them familiar with opening your Bible and looking at verses from God’s Word.
