Today I learned: I can cast my cares to God
Continuing in our Proverbs series, today we talked about Proverbs 29:11 “A fool vents all his feelings, but a wise man holds them back”. God’s Word teaches us that fools vent (or erupt - think about a volcano) all their feelings. Fool’s feelings flow out of them all out of control. These feelings can include anger, jealousy, annoyance, and bitterness. Wise people hold back their feelings from erupting out of them. How does a wise person hold back their emotions? The wise person person does what I Peter 5:7 says “cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you”. Because God loves us, we can give our cares to Him. God always loves to help us.
Family Activity: Role play a wise person and a foolish person who are experiencing emotions. The wise person can help the foolish person to give their cares to God and God will help them!
