“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” John 13:14-15
Today we learned about how Jesus washed his disciples feet as an example of great love in serving others. We talked about how it was usually the lowest servant's job to wash feet, but Jesus was giving the example of humbling yourself to serve others. Jesus’s footwashing is an example of humbling ourselves to lowly jobs that maybe no one else wants to do, but we can do these things in love, like Jesus did!
