Today we talked about how Jesus’ followers called him “Teacher” and he taught them many things. One day he told them a story about 2 builders. The wise builder built his house on a rock, and when the storms came, the house stood strong. The foolish builder built his house on the sand, and when the storms came, the house was destroyed. Jesus told them when someone hears his words and obeys them, he is like the wise builder. When someone hears his words and does not obey them, he is like the foolish builder. We talked about some of the things Jesus taught us to do like love one another, give, forgive, and pray always. If we do these things we will be like the wise man and our life will look like his house- strong and build on a solid rock!
Family Activity: Sing the song “The wise man and the foolish man” together.
