Today I learned: Jesus is the light of the world!
Today we learned about how the world is dark because of sin but God sent his son Jesus Christ "to give light to those who sit in darkness" (Luke 1:79). When we follow Jesus we walk in the light! We are light in the Lord. We talked about how the people of this world need their light because it is the light of Jesus Chirst!
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darnkess, but will have the light of life." John 8:12
"For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light" Ephesians 5:8
When I follow Jesus I walk in the light! I am light in the Lord!
Family Activity: Talk with your child about ways they can let their light shine before others. What good works can they do that would glorify God? (Matt 5:16)
