Today I learned about how Jesus spent time with God in Prayer:
Today we learned how Jesus spent a lot of time with God in prayer. One example we looked at was in Luke 6:12 & 13 when Jesus spent the whole night praying to God before he chose the 12 apostles. This was a big decision and so Jesus spent time with his Father, seeking His wisdom. Then we looked at Luke 22:42-44 and how Jesus prayed to God in the garden before his crucifixion. He wanted to do God's will, not his own, and he needed God's strength to do it. We ended with 1 Thessalonians 5:17 &18. We are to never stop praying! We talked about how prayer isn’t always just asking for something, it can be thanking God for our new life in Christ and praising Him for His goodness, too!
